The Agroforestry Summer Week initiative will be launched again in 2025 with a wide range of useful, practical and innovative activities for students and all interested parties, including field trips, panel discussions and lectures aimed at raising awareness about sustainable food systems, enriching the understanding of agroforestry systems towards tackling issues concerning weather modification as well as food security, plus updating on progresses of this model in the region.
Agroforestry systems tell the stories of the mutual combination of woody plants with arable crops and/or animal husbandry on one area. The system may appeal to be more complex in management, yet it offers trenmendous positive impacts, namely erosion effective control and higher yields. The Agroforestry Summer Week is full of promisses of insights into this sustainable branch of resilient agriculture.
