From the 20th until the 22nd of September our final BAOQUALITY workshop took place in Lilongwe, Malawi. All participants were delighted after working a long period solely together remotely and meeting in digital rooms due to the COVID-19 pandemic , this workshop was the time to meet each other in person again.
The 2.5 days workshop consisted of MSc and PhD students presenting their research findings which are involved in the project from the different partner countries like Kenya, Malawi, Germany and Sudan. These findings were presented to the project consortium and experts from the baobab sector leading to discussions about the practical implications of their work.
Furthermore, a local producer of baobab juice and associated project partner (Naturals Limited) was visited by the participants to learn about and actually taste baobab in real life.
